What is this site about?
There are many reasons (and pressures) to engage with digital technology in Higher Education. Developing employability skills in students, engaging in subject matter, managing research projects and developing personal learning networks are just some of the areas that can benefit from an understanding of various digital technologies and can, in turn help to develop the confidence to try out new methods of learning and engagement. This site is an attempt to share ideas between HE teaching staff for developing digital literacies within their students. Who is it by? The site is a collaborative project in which anyone can contribute. It was originated by Ben Jane who is a senior lecturer at The University of St Mark & St John, Plymouth and works in the field of exercise and health. How to use it? Decide what you would like to develop in your students and then go to the page on that topic. Scroll through the googledoc slides to see what other people have done so far. Visitors are encouraged to contribute by leaving comments or adding a page to the crowdsourced googledoc slides. |
